Paco Strikes Oooold Wilver

Hey, dudes, Paco, Zoy, and I got out for some goood oooole' relic hunting. Before I relate today's adventure, I need to give you dudes some background information on the event preceding our hunt. Yesterday afternoon, I checked my email and had an email from Paco....his title, "BUSTED UP," caught my attention. Well, dudes, to give you some more info on Paco's other hobby: about 10 yrs ago, this highly passionate individual decided to take up the great sport of Downhill bike racing....let me just say, he won many bike events....then, I guess, soon after, he got into the "tricks" trade....yes, he does some crazy stunts on his $3,000 Trials bike....he is 43, but has the energy and passion of an 18 year old. hahaha

To get to my email, Paco stated that he had, "Jumped off an 8 foot docking ramp and wrecked badly...I flipped over my handlebars and banged my arms up...but, I can still DETECT!" Even though he had hurt himself somewhat badly, Paco would not let his injuries put him on the Injured Reserve. I even stated, "Dude, you are a great asset to this hobby. It is an honor swinging a detector with you."

Now, to get to today's adventure, we decided to hit the farm in hopes of satisfying our treasure addiction. Paco and I decided to hit the Colonial field for a bit, while Zoy ran around on the meadow. I walked up and down numerous rows and was questioning my abilities, "Hmmm....Keithie, why in the hell would you walk up this row? You had skipped up it before. Why would you turn around at a 45 degree angle and walk around in circles? You had already done that when you played 'Ring Around the Rosie.' If you would just project yourself on the angle of the relic-seeking field, you would find a relic that no other relic hunter had picked up in the relic-infested areas of this specific relic field on some historic relic property." Well, I listened to this, and changed tactics. I won't tell the tactic....every professional must keep his secrets....hehehe....but, I did find a Colonial button at 10"...oops, I mean 1". hahaha Gotta love the tilled fields. Thanks for these fields...I don't think White's could find us those super deep targets that a certain detector brand will find. hahaha

Paco also found 1 Colonial button in this field, when we decided to see what Zoy was recovering. Once stepping on the historic meadow turf, Zoy screamed, kind of like a big baby on caffeine, "I found a Civil War button!" Upon stating those words, we were all jumping around in circles....at the same time, we were slapping high fives....I think I got close to performing the "River Dance," but thought to save that for a better time. Well, after that hilarious feat of sophmoric, but mature-like celebration, Paco stated, "Dudes, look at that field there...I bet the neighbor settled there. I am going to check it out." So, Paco checked it out...did I mention that Paco checked that field out? hahaha Well, he checked it out, and after about a half hour of checking out, I heard him yelp, kind of like a dude kid opening a Christmas present, "Silver! SILVER!" On stating that word, he jumped out of the field and presented to us a nice 1858 3-cent wilver piece....in which, I checked out. hahaha You should have seen the clubbing going on now...we were shaking hands so fast, we would miss each other's hand once in awhile...Zoy and I were both happy for our good bud, Paco, finding this elusive wilver. It is the oldest piece of wilva to come off of this prop (property).

Dudes, I think we may have found anotha hotspot....after his coin, we hit the area like pros....we found many pieces of pottery and glass...I also found some square nails, so a structure stood in dat field. This will be field 4 out of 10.

Well, that kind of ended the relic day...I only found 2 buttons and a musketball...even the pros have bad days. hahaha We all left on good terms and went home to our homesteads (ones that will be super old in a hundred years). hahaha Once again, Paco, thank you for the invite!

Later this evening, Zoy and I went down to Paco's historic home and took some pics of his coin. We chit-chatted about detecting and looked at his coins that he had found detecting...everything was about detecting.

I will post the pics tomorrow...Zoy's camera batteries died on us. So, being a smart dude like he is, Zoy will purchase some at the store sometime tomorrow. hahaha

*All relics were found with WHITE'S detectors on extreme private property...I must also state clearly that we have total consent from the landowners to relic hunt on their property.

Great Story and Fantastic Recoveries....you guys really know how to spend your days.
Keith (captian): Only two buttons and a musketball, that is a bad day.....LOL I'm kidding. Those are still some great finds.
Zoy: Congrats on the CW button you guys should really think about filming one of your hunts for us to see...espically of the riverdancing.
Paco: Congrats on the 3 cent piece. you can't get hurt while metal detecting.

Sounds like a GREAT day, Keith! I would also love to see the adventures of Keith, Paco and Zoy, complete with the tavern scenes. Hollyweird would be on the phone to you guys in an instant. We all need a little more hokey pokey and riverdance for our viewing pleasure, don't you think?
