Default My first wheatie 1940

Did a little hunting around today. Picked up about 34 cents in clad. Then my detector beeps I look down and practilly on the surface a 1940 wheat penny.
I also pulled a 1964 penny in a diffrent area.
It was Good Day and I'm starting to learn my machine.
Thursday I'm off from welding school and I'll be out sunrise to sunset.
I love this.
Brian

Great JOB!!! Way to get out and find something. Congrats and good luck on your day off. I am sure you will strike it big! If you have not already, talk to the sponsors and get you a pair of headphones, helped improve my finds and are especially good for high traffic and noisy areas. Just a thought!

Congrats on your first Wheatie! Not only was my first Wheat a 1940, but my second one was as well! My oldest Wheat penny is a 1917. Keep practicing that machine, you are doing a super job so far!!!

I remember long ago when I found my first Wheat Penny 1947 (about 3 weeks ago). Congratulation and happy digging.

Feels good - doesn't it? My first real find (after a few pull tabs and pieces of foil) was a 1940 wheatie...hope you continue to have as much fun as I have!
