Default Finally broke into the 1800's

Hi everyone, just thought I would let you know that I finally broke into the 1800's. I found an 1890 V Nickel today. The only coin I found. I was hunting at the old homestead that has been giving my detector stability problems. It did today as well bouncing all over the place but I endured and had a great nickel signal and I dug and found the V Nickel it was less than 4 inches deep. The coin is very worn and you can just barely make out the 1890, but its my oldest coin to date.

Happy Hunting,

300 Wtby

Way to go!

It's a funny thing...up until now, I used to think that the excited jitterly feeling I always got when I was putting the crosshairs on an 8 or 10 point buck was exciting - now I get the same rush when I'm digging for a coin! This is much more enjoyable than big game hunting...I may just sell my rifle to fund more MD equipment!

Congrats!
