Default Old Railroad hunt

Went out and hunted along an old no longer used railroad track. I dug various big pieces of metal some small ones too, as well as 3 quarters, 8 pennies, one a 1946 wheatie, and 1 dime.

Default That's Decided Me!!

It's 5:20 and I've had enough work for today. My railroad bed is calling...and after reading about your finds, Coilcop, I just can't sit in the house any longer! Wish me luck!

Nice finds Coilcop. Makes me want to jump up and head down to the old Washington and Old Dominion Railroad...unfortunately its been turned into a bike/hiking trail as part of the Regional Park system...they don't allow md'ing on it...oh well...at least you and Riki got railroad beds to hunt and tell us about!

find any insulators wile you were out there? the railroad in my backyard is still active and, wile old, metaldetecting would be no good as theres too much trash scattered about. Not much old left out there, did find a pully i think was used to string up the wires on the abandon toll line but it's in a dump somewhere now.

...I'm afraid Coilcop is going to have to do all the telling...I'm bored with railroad spikes and can't seem to find anything else...
