Default another short trip

Found a park close to home I had forgot about. The memorial states the park was donated in May of 1933. I could not believe I forgot about this place. Its a small park and I was only there for 1 hour.I will be going back because I only MD a small section. Here is what I found. (1) quarter,(2)nickels,(1) dime, (6) pennies,(3) tabs, and some kind of small round silver object. click on picture to make larger

Thanks PP Question........ Why is the nickels and the dime red looking? The dates on the
nickels where 88 and 93

Mr. Silver / HarryPA & I hunt in a field where every clad coin is red.
We don't know why but we think it is because of the soil.

the coins are from 1" deep to 4" deep and they are all red in tint.

GO FIGURE

Default Soil Content

The acids in the soil tend to turn the coins different colors. Depending on where in the country you are hunting the soils have different acid content....NICE FINDS !

WTG PP Keep on goin' and you'll find some old stuff. Look for the bigger trees and hunt around them. You might just find some nice loot.
