Talking First Euro Coin

Yesterday I saw a crowd of kids in the final class of lifeguard training. I made a mental note of where all the packs, towels and blankets were. I went back this morning to check it out. Either they dropped absolutely nothing - or someone swept the beach late yesterday.
All in all I found next to nothing until the last 20 minutes of the hunt. Then I found my first Euro coin. It is a Euro 10 Cent coin. The common side shows the value (10 Cents) and the country specific side shows it is from Germany. Depicted is the Brandenburg Gate from a perspective that suggests it is opening. That is symbolic of the unifying the two Germanies and all of Europe. At Friday's close the coin was worth $0.1368 (USD).
I also found ONE earring in the form of a die. There are glass jewels for the spots. On the six side two of the jewels are missing.
My search is normally 3 hours, of which the last 20 minutes were all that were productive. Besides the Euro and earring I found 2 quarters, 6 dimes, 3 nickels and 5 pennies. Either everyone at the beach was extremely careful Friday, or someone had a successful hunt yesterday late. Here's hoping for some major spills today!!!

Love those foreign coins. I found a euro this summer in florida, on the beach. I was told it is worth about $1.48. Best coin I've found so far!
