Silver Half!!
Went back to the ball field where I found those two rings this morning, and after about 1.5 hours of nothing but clad and trash, bing, there's a wheat. Searching the area carefully, I get another sweet ping... this time it's a 1963D Franklin Half from about 9 inches!!!
This is a first for me, so excuse the excitement!!  It's been a good day! Happy Hunting everyone!

Wow!!!! silver half dollars are hard to come by, Conrats on the find. Still looking for my first silver half. Maybe soon.

Wow - it's been so long since I have seen a real half dollar I had forgotten Franklin was on the last ones.

Congrats on the the silver....sure is getting harder and harder to find the silver coins....but the new hi tec machines sure can find the deep ones that have been missed.....
