Default i have a collection

of live ammo.... i have everything from an old 22CB short to the .50 auto mag. hand gun and rifle .... soem of em were given to me, some i found most i owned.

the first time i took my new bride home to WV we stayed at my sisters house. she was amazed at the collection of firearms my family owned. she told my brother in law that he had enough guns to start a small war. his reply...." And i have enough amunition to WIN IT"... lil bit of insight into the hill billy life style.

Congrats on finding the casing and live round. i like finding them. no real value in em but its always cool to find neat stuff.

happy huntin yall

while oystering in the chesapeake bay near the patuxent nas
I caught a belt that had about 25 live .50 cal rounds on it. I
told an officer from the base who lived a couple doors down
from me about my find and he told me how the old ww 2 ammo
was and at the base a few years some of it ignited and caused
a small fire at the base so the military dumped it in the bay.
now that 30-30 round looks fine I would fire it in my marlin
but when I find a round that's corroded and looks iffy I
discard it in a safe place

Reminds me of a story when my uncle got a bunch of confiscated Japanese weapons at the Aleutians. He decided giving live hand grenades to shipmates might not be a good idea, so he just dumped them overboard LOL.

I may just pull the bullet out and dump the powder as I have no use for round.
