It is def. not silver or gold. The main thing is that it is adjustable so probably a kids ring of some sort. Thanks everyone for looking for me!

forgive me for not explaining,
cd stands for consolidated design number and 106 is the cd# for a hemingray 9, a hemingray 9 is a small insulator used on mainly rural telephone and sometimes telegraph lines. I have seen one before used on an extreemly low voltage power line, and one on the side of a house near where i live. The cd-106 was produced by many companies, hemingray, lynchburg, mclaughlin, WGM co, and "star" and had a production run from around 1890 to the 1940's. Your fragment is probably a hemingray based on the color. I have a hard time finding this style of insulator as where i live there is no rural telephone lines, just long range telephone and telegraph. The T&C railroad used them along with the 106's larger counterpart, the cd-121 (named the "toll" style) but theres none left from when the line was scraped in the 1950's. Theres more brands than i named and many colors ranging from aqua, shades of blue, greens including dark olive and 7-up green, off clear, and some purple. Heres a link to the style, CD 106
