Default Had a scare today!

I snuck away from the house to a playground behind a local school...I hit the wood chips and about the third signal I pull out a coin. The only thing I saw on it was 1783..I froze and could not say anything until I rubbed the rest of the dirt and debris off the coin, saw that it was a New York statehood coin...I did not know whether to be ticked off or what! Spent about an hour there and pulled out a hand full of clad (1Q, 2Dimes, 1 Nickle, 3 Pennies.)and a bunch of nails, a piece that looks like a saw blad, and some metal chips..it amazes me the stuff that gets left in those wood chips for the kids to play in. All in all a good day!

Talk about sharp objects ! but i still got all MY fingers and toes,My little brother though did lose a pinky finger !

Well - I guess wood chips that have a bit of junk mixed-in is still better than the playground we had at school...ours was actually paved! I still have a scar on my forehead where I fell off the monkey bars when I was in grade school....and before anyone can jump-in and make next obvious comment - I'm well aware that this probably answers a lot of questions about my behavior ever since!

When the chips are down, it's still good to feel the rush of excitement!

When I was about 9 they changed our playground from cement to woodchips. Before that time I saw alot of bloody kids headed to the nurses office. I guess modern "technology" is good for some things.

Sorry You didn't find that big thing, but maybe it was a sign that good things are to come.
