Default Found the Usual...

Went out for an hour after Joe got home from work last night - the first pic below shows all the usual spikes, nuts, bolts, etc. that I found within the first half hour in my back field.

Then we walked to the side field and I was nice enough to ask Joe if he wanted to try out the detector. The second photo is of his finds. Not only does he seem to think the horseshoe trumps my sneaker, but now he won't give the detector back!!

I hope I am going to be able to get my wife out MD'ing but I have gotten my daughter that lives in SC hooked over the last couple weeks and that's good.

There's not much difference between golf and detecting, really. The swing is a little different, the dress code isn't as wacky, and you don't get to ride around in carts, but you've still got to fill in your holes when you're done!

Great comparison...golf used to be my thing...as a matter of fact, I have a brand new set of clubs that Peg bought me for my birthday this year - that I've never even used yet! I have to admit - I'm totally addicted to MD'ing...I'll be joining Big Bill at those TQ Anonymous meetings before long!

Hey golf cart and MDing might not be a bad idea. Just need someone to follow along and dig for me.

I actually use my dad's mule (little truck) when I go hunting on some of our older property. Works quite well. It has a little truck bed and it holds all kinds of extra gear.
