Default old machine...older tree.... lots of time...

did a three hour hunt around this tree today... this tree is in front of what used to be the national guard armory. it has been torn down and the national cemetary is expanding. within a few more months this site will be off limits and there is good stuff to be had here.

i started off with the coimaster, properly ground balanced, no discrimination, and sensitivity set real low. i was wanting to take mY time and get every piece of junk from around the base of this tree... it took almost an hour an fifteen minutes to clear all the junk you see in pic from around this tree. when i was sure i had all the junk i turned my sensetivity to the max.... had my threshold set at a loud hum.... and very slowly worked the tree over good.... in 3 hours time i did not move further than six feet away from the trunk of this tree... the results...

19 clad pennies from 1965 to 2000
1 1997 dime
1 1957 rosie dime
1 1929 wheat

ithere is much more there... i wore myself out diggin the junk out of there... but it was worth it.... im not finished working that tree either. and since i have already removed all the junk the wife can go back and pretty well know if it beeps it needs to be dug. as soon as the we are sure the tree is clear we can start on the field it sits in.... this tree is protected by state and county law here so i know it wont get cut down... but we gotta move quick because once it is behind cemetary fence it will be off limits to hunt.

HAPPY HUNTIN YALL

by the size of this oak it has seen many hurricanes, white men coming to this country, our revolution, the war between the states, and will probably see many more events unfold. i think it will be a pleasant site and honor guard for those future souls worthy to be buried under its branches.

Thumbs up Wtg

You have a great strategy for harvesting a promising hunt site. The surrounding area sounds promising too. Good luck in finding all the treasure before the fence goes up.
Good preparation should pay off big time.
