Default Holy City

Had a chance to swing by this little town in the hills of where I work. It was known for it's cult lifestyle early in the 1900's. I only had a few minutes to do some swingin, so I put it in the all silver mode on my MXT, and went to town. Picked a few newer dimes when I ran across a older wheaty (1958 not much older) which had me hopefull. West of, or to the right of the structure, is a set of trees. When I hit this medallion. Looks to fit the era and location so I thought I'd show it. Here's a web page that will give you the insight of this little town. HH Rick

Smile Neat medalion

Looks like you have some interesting hunting in store for you. You say it is near work? That means maybe breaks and definitely lunch time can be spent with the metal detector. Lucky you!!! I wish I had thought of that when I was working. It is a great stress reliever.
Good hunting. I really love that medalion. The link is neat too.

You might have a peace of the Holy City's history there. I read the story and was particularly amused by the wording of their sign: "See us if you are contemplating marriage, suicide or crime." Seems like they thought those 3 things were equal!

Cool medal and interesting story of the town, is the Holy City and Santa Cruz one and the same?
