Default colonial copper ?????

My good buddy took me to the site were he found the 1794 8 Reale today ! ;D I didn't find alot, the heat was killin me out there. But i did find a couple of flat buttons, part of an arrowhead and this coin or token thing. Its the size of a penny but thinner.I can make out some lettering and some type of design on both sides but shes in pretty rough shape.I been trying to get decent photos and blowin em up and lookin at it from different angles but got me what the heak it is,anyone got any ideas ?
We also found what looks like a very early mill site.Theres a small pond in a gully that looks to be were the river once flowed. There are two huge maple trees on ither side of the gully with hand hewn beams growing into the root's and also some type of wooden frame work along the edge of the pond.I wanted to take some photos but it was hot er than helloooooo and a long walk back to the truck were my camera was at.

Thanks Steve,Hopfully we will have some even better sites soon.I been lookin into getting permission to hunt a farm field were in 1909 a farmer found 37 gold,35 silver, and 8 copper coins dated in the 1760's while plowing !

The site we searched today has been hit hard over the years and is also silted over by floods so I'm thinkin most stuff will be pretty deep. The 8 Reale was down over a foot.

We also have a site we will be searching in a couple of weeks that should be good,It's were my bud found his Fugio cent.

Congrats on the finds! The coin does look very old, but I have no idea as to what it is.

I like the button, how about a shot of the other side? Keep up the good work, Beale.

More nice finds Rip, I don't know either, but I'm sure it's old. You must be pretty persuasive to talk that farmer into letting you hunt his gold field . Good Luck!
