Default October heat + 3 tot lots + 1 volley ball court =

= Oz giving up before finishing off the volley ball court.

Told a couple I used to work with I would see them today but first I would stop off and hit a few tot lots. Googled some parks in their area and headed out this AM. On the way up I saw a playground by some sports complex so stopped off there. Football practice going on to the field adjacent to the tot lot and the tot lot was in use at 08:15 *ugh*. I did manage to find 3 quarters, 1 dime, 4 nickels and 2 cents to break my goal of $1 per playground. Second tot lot was about 1/2 mile from their house. Oh was it slow going, but I lucked out and found 3 scattered quarters near a piece of playground equipment. Total was 5 quarters, 1 dime and 2 cents. Can you say slow. I found out from the couple that the playground area was complete dug up and re-done. Not sure when that happened. Two coins were blackened from the woodchips, so they had been in there for a bit anyway. After BS'ing with them for a few hours I told them I may as well try their "mini me" playground they put up for their kids about 10 years back. Found them 1 quarter, 4 dimes, 2 cents and a pull tab LOL.

Next up it was back home, but stopping off at some buds to pick up some cucumbers he was overloaded with. Hit the playground there and didn't meet my goal of $1.00 - just 92 cents. Better than last time where I found $0.00! Off the the volleyball court (same park) where I found a decent amount my only time out ($3.80). In less than 30 seconds I found more there than the playground. Started off with three quarters and some nickels all in a tight group. Ended up with 6 quarters, 13 nickels and 16 cents. Only hit about 20% of the volleyball court, just too dang hot and I only had a glass of water and a glass of orange juice in the last 10 hours. If it wasn't a 30 minute drive I would be back out there but I will hit it next time I see my cuke bud.

Ended the day $5.67 richer, but wayyyyyyyyyy to much work for it!

Default Just think...

....if you found $5.67 each day for a year...$2,069.55! Don't know about you, but that sounds like a week's houseboat rental on a nice lake to me!

Congrats on a good day and HH!

I am so glad it is getting cooler. I keep going hunting whenever I can regardless of the weather. Sounded like a good hunt to me

Congrats on the finds. Just got back in from my hunt. Found a little bit, but it was starting to get a little warm. Florida is still warm at this time of year also. Posted it in the Your Finds area if you care to check it out. HH. Buster
