Todays Finds 10/17
Well, I hit the reservoir that is showing signs of severe drought. Did not find much to mention, but was able to locate at least one of the old home sites that was flooded when building this reservoir and another that was flooded in 1974. I found square nails, barbed wire and other pieces of metal. Also remnants of an old stone fence, and remnants of an old stone building (possible barn according to one of the locals). I did find an old axe head, no pic of it, but pic of nails, barbed wire and fishing gear I found.
Also spent 1 1/2 hours md'ing around the old farm house I had been md'ing around all summer. Found 24 clad coins. Was still getting signals on the way back to the truck..to dark to see. One day this place is going to pay off with some silver or older coins. Here are the pics enjoy!

THanks everyone!
Minelab asked "What's the little square think with the coins?" I am not sure. It is heavy. It is silver in color, made in china has a little hole in one end and a slot in the other. I found it laying under the grass right next to where I found 5 pennies stacked together about 2 inches deep. It is kind of neat, but probably not worth anything. Dave in Iowa said "Good finds , i've caught some nice bass, with a mepps lure" I have fished in this reservoir on several occasions. I know its (should I say was) loaded with bass..I just did not know what people where using to catch'em. Now I do!
