Default Few coins today, but a great rock!

Trying a page from 1911D's play book, I hit an old forest trail along a small stream today, hoping that just maybe some old Spanish explorer had dropped his money pouch while traversing this tributary to the Rio Grande. Of course, I didn't find that, just a few clad coins where some more modern day explorers had camped, a lot of aluminum pull-tabs and cans, some rifle brass, lots of rusty old nails, some pieces of pipe, oh, and an unfired 38 Special round. At least I had a good time and also found ths great rock with a quartz vein and an exposed vug with some good crystal growth!

Nice finds! Be careful with that .38 round!

Get the diamond-tipped sawblade out for the rock!

The rock is very neat. Did it show up on the detector?

I'm with DFX, but are you sure there's no gold in there?
