Default Pay Dirt!

Today, after 5 hours of hard work over four days...digging in wet muck and clay, I found my first coin. I can't make out the date...maybe 1953?

Along with this coin, I found 4 bases for 12 ga. shotgun shells. Must have been paper types...paper all gone. A bunch of barbed wire, two pieces of an old stove and a bolt.

Awesome! Now that you know that it will find coins, take your MD to a park or school. Have you seen any of the posts about prime areas to detect? I'll go find the link and come right back with it.

Okay, here's the link I was thinking about: Urban Metal Detecting? It has some fantastic ideas / resources to get you started. Remember, it's not always the machine, but where you put it, that counts. hehehe

good luck!!!

Congratulations Jack , and like pris said, it's where you put the machine that matters, you won't find anything without your coil being over it!
