Default Got up at 6 this morning

....after going to bed at one, looking forward to hunting with Rikki and her son, Jeff.

Met them about 9 to head to a local state park with a man made lake that had a beach in the 70's. They put in a pool and no longer allow swimming at the beach, on nice days I've seen it full of people with lawn chairs or blankets just hanging out, enjoying the sun and boating activity on the lake. All that's left of the beach is about a 50 yard stretch of sand about 30' wide with a grassy area behind it about the same size, the rest of it is now a bath house and boating area.

I brought a Tesoro Cibola for Jeff to use and gave him the basics, leave this here, move this if it's noisy, swing this way and then that way to pinpoint a find, etc. His instruction took all of 30 seconds and he was off making finds.

Anyway, I got my quarter count to equal my dime count, found 43 coins, clad and cents total, a pair of nail clippers and some whatchamacallits.

I quit digging pennies after 24, there were signals everywhere and very little trash. We left plenty there for another day.

Had a great time again. Can't wait till next time!

Sounds like a nice day. Nice to get to detect and teach. The Doo-dads look interesting....but I think Riki got the find of the day!
