Default 15 Hour Hunt Day. But Boy was it great!

Hello all. Me and dandan went out today. We started at 8AM. We went and dug for arrowheads and found one and a broken one, Then around 1130 We went to anouther hunting place to detect. I did real good here. I got 5 Wheats, 2 1912 Barber Dimes, (Wich I am very very happy with), 1 1952 Quarter, 1 1919 Mercury dime, 2 Buffalo nickels 1 1924 and one 1929, and a peice of a silver spoon. The it was around 5PM. I dropped dan off and my friend Cameran asked me if I would go with him for awhile. So off we went. We decided to go to an old foundation in the woods. We got skunked. On the way back to the car we I found a safe...In the middle of nowhere. We take it home and drill it open..Inside is the most horrific sight I have ever seen. It is full of Burnt money. Silver certificate dollars and old 2 dollar bills. I saved a few of the chard peices. It was full to the brim with these charcoal dollars, I did find one silver bracelet still inside though. Well now it was 11PM and I am beat. What a great day...

You have a great haul there. The contents of the safe make you kind of sick though. What a treasure.

Holy Moley! That safe sounds like whoever tried to open it was not thinking. I got to think that it was from a robbery. Thee's a story to that one!

Sounds like a day to remember, GF!

I thought about the robbery thing. But once I opened it and saw all the chared remains I knew it was from a house fire.

Just curious, what size and type of safe was it and how long do you think it was there? I would have loved to see your faces when you found and opened it .

I'll bet the safe got the adrenalin flowing I don't know if I could have survived the ordeal. Congrats of an exciting hunt. Have a great day and the best of luck...Richard

OH my what a great hunt and story! I bet you were a bit upset about the safe! Do you have a picture of it? I just can not imagine, Beale.
