Default Shetalkwa Grounds

Well I’m back to the swing of things I took a weeks vacation and went to some small towns. One was Altamont close to Winston Mo. I hunted a bank that Frank and Jesse had robbed only found some common clad near by. Found a porcelain door knob bullet casing and a bunch of molting metal. No Jesse James gold or anything. I did some research on an old fair ground in Kansas I don’t know if I am spelling it right, but It is called Shetalkwa grounds. I am guessing it to place somewhere around 1917-1920 anyway I found some buffalo nickels and some 1918 Wheat cents. I am on to a new research project It’s called Charlestown. On March 30, 1855 some Ten dozen wagons came from Missouri’s side to settle in Doniphan County, in the early days the County crazed for new towns Charlestown reached some little prosperity and had twelve or fifteen houses-a respectable size for it’s time. I will keep you posted I am going to go back to Shetalkwa also.
Happy Hunting All.
