Default thought i found a plate when...

i found this by a home site that was in the middle of a battle in 1861. union soldiers may have torn this off to get inside the trunk. civilian buttons have been found all around the place. broken iron cooking pots and china are often found. found in the spring 04.

Smile i believe it is brass...

and i have found few of the .69 musketballs that were the preferred ammo of gen floyd,CSA. Many civilians buttons were found and i am getting into flat buttons and pistol ammo now. cant get the feel for the site yet but will.
