Default Transit Token

I found a token yesterday, it reads...Elmira Motor Coach Corp. one side and good for one fare on the other side. The E in the middle is cut out. It's the size of a dime. Ring a bell?

Gordiesgirl, there are a couple on Ebay. One thing I read is that it was from the 40's. Is this it?

Congrats on the find! I have found a few tokens now. My favorite was my bus token. You did real well finding that good job, Beale.

Smile Neat token.

Nice token find (1940's). Tokens seem to really travel. I found one at a California beach from a resort area in South Carolina (contemporary).
Was the E punched out at random or for wearing as a pendant?
I can remember as a kid having a pocket full of bus tokens, too bad I didn't save any.
MDing is a neat way to learn all kinds of things.
Happy hunting!
