Default A penny hunt!

Well went to another private yard today. I had hoped it was an old home site, but not to be.

I dug so many pennies I got worn out by them. My clad total for the day was $1.37. A whopping .47 of that was pennies!! Only 5 of them were in a spill. the other 42 were single digs.

Oh well more clad for the piggie bank, Beale.

I know exactly how you feel, I've dug up my back yard & have found about 80 pennies total, 4 of them wheats, 1 silver dime, a few regular dimes & a few quarters, all individual digs, very tiring but like you said more $ for the piggy bank

I don't know how often you get out, but it's even more frustrating when the only time you get to go is on the weekends (especially now cuz of the time change) and all you find is penny after penny. I know that it's more than what I had before, but I wanna feel that same excitement in my heart that I felt when I saw that license plate. And pennies... they just don't deliver. *sighs*

but I can relate, friend.

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!

It's still good to get out and dig. Last weekend I dug up 43 beer bottle caps at the beach. I did get some clad also. I was showing "E" what I had collected at our beach hunt and the beer tops kept a comming out of my bag. Even she was surprized. It's all good. Happy Hunting...Buster..

It all adds up. One penny at a time to that first Million. Glad you got out.

Each penny you find is one more penny than you had at the beginning of the day! HH!

I look at recovering those pennies as clearing the yard for more intense hunting and maybe some deeper older finds later ... anyway good luck to ya on your next hunt!

Talking Only a MDer...

Only a MDer would bend down to pick up a penny because treasure is treasure. If nothing else, it clears the field for deeper or more valuable targets. They are slightly more valuable than pop tabs, bottle caps and chunks of foil. Born to hunt!
Happy hunting - and more valuable targets are sure to show up!
