Default Someone Lost A $1.31 In 1965

Man, It's "DRY" here in Oklahoma City !!!!! Ground is like concrete. Decided to swing the old coil anyway, Got a good hit and after fighting with the baked clay I finally pulled out a brass box, About half dollar sized, Maybe an old pill box, Who knows? Then I dug a brass compact that has Djer Kiss on it, Another hit turned into a war I was trying to pry loose ssomething from under a tree root, turned out to be a piece of spoon. Another solid hit turned up another lead soldier, Last hit was solid by the walk going to the front porch. 1965 quarter ran the coil over the hole again and still had a solid hit very worn 1942 quater, ran the coil again still a solid hit another 1965 quarter, Still got a solid hit, 1964-D quarter, Wow!!!! How much more can I pull from one hole??? 58 Denver wheatie, 64-D dime, 60-D dime, 58-D dime. What a rush !!! Two newest dates were 1965 so I figured all this change must have been lost in early 1965. Made my day but we need rain here !!! I hate leaving so many good hits in the ground due to just being unable to break through the baked Oklahoma clay. I try to keep a mental note of where and return when we get some moisture. Enjoy the PICS !!!

Whoa! Very nice for some hard diggin'. I'm afraid I would have damaged one or all of those finds if it were me. By your photo, I would have thought that the pill box were a lot larger than half dollar sized

Awesome dig!

Congrats on the great finds! The silver is very sweet, and that box is very cool. My favorite though is the soldier, Beale.

Coinhead! Great finds. I know all about the dry ground. We have been under a severe drought here. Finally got some rain, recently that should make things better and hopefully lift these water restrictions. Great going and hope you hit that place again!
