Default "a Gold Dream To Lead Bullion"

Yeah, Here I was in another 100 year old backyard, 3 common wheats and a 45 mercury under the clothes line. Beat up tourquise ring, Probally miss-spelled that. Decided that the yard was very quite so I went all metal, Found an old aluminum tag, At least the trash was old. Went back further in the yard by the remminents of an old well. Got a solid hit, Dug down and dug some more, I was already a foot deep and still getting a solid hit Finally at 14 to 16 in's deep I reach down darn near to my elbow and feel the object, I clear out more dirt and can see the shape of a bar this was after feeling the weight by hand. It was covered with dirt. I was thinking gold bar????? Is it even possible???? Finally after half an hour of digging it's out. LEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man what an emotional roller coaster. It weighs 2 1/2 lbs. And I almost threw it out of anger. Decided not to so I could share it with all you folks. At least on the way out I got a shallow heads & tails token. But I was mad, All that digging for nothing.

It's ok - we've all done something similar to that... I can't tell you how many car hoods and anvils I've just stopped digging for after about a foot or so...

And something you said reminds me of something a good buddy of mine used to say after a particularly bad or disgusting hunt:

"Well, we didn't find anything, but what we didn't find was really, really old and rare..."
