Default Counted my clad from the other day

Thought I'd count my clad from the other day's hunt on the easements - I ended up with $2.52 and 170 coins, one of which was a 36 Mercury... also picked up a bent, little silver ring... I'm probably going to continue to focus on the easements for the rest of the year... maybe soon I can get that 4" coil for my lil machine, sure would help get those coins close to the meters...

I believe I'm going to start keeping a journal of my stuff like I did when I first began, for 2008 - it's nice to sit down and read back thru it, brings back a lot of good memories...

Congrats on your finds.

Elaborate on these easements you are hunting. Are they sidewalk areas in neighborhoods?

I like the journal idea but I am always too darn busy to write in it. Good total for the hunt. JC

Robert - are you in downtown Austin or in an outlying neighborhood? Great number of coins...keep swinging and that new coil will be yours in no time!

I started a journal of what I find & where, that way I can keep track of how much of each coin I've found, I started it about 2 weeks after I bought my detector so it's almost a complete journal.

Thumbs up Good idea.

I really like the idea of the journal. I wish I started one when I first started hunting. I do have a bunch of posts here though, that will help. I am going to start one in 2008. Thanks for the idea - it's a keeper!
Yes the 4 inch coil is great for getting next to pipes, meters, fences or anything metal. It changes an impossible area to search (with the standard coil) to a heavy producer of spills.
Good luck with your hunting of the easements (also a great idea).
Happy hunting

Thanks - it's not really exactly what I want to be doing, but there's a ton of coins there, and a lot of the easements are old, so who knows...? I've actually been using maps.google.com and zooming way in and looking for easement (how much of a dork am I..?)

Not a dork at all! I actually use Google Maps a lot to look at sites I want to hunt. It's a GREAT tool.
