Default Martin Luther King???

The weather was beautiful on Wednesday and Thursday so I got out a few hours each day. I was excited to hunt some large dirt piles that were removed for construction where I work. Unfortunately I wasn't there long when I was asked to leave so they could lock the area up for the holiday weekend. Oh well...win some..lose some. I didn't find much of interest either day except a little clad. Below are the interesting artifacts. The item in the first pic looks to be Martin Luther King possibly. It looks like it may have had a loop like a necklace at the top but something is broken off the bottom as well. It has a patent number on it so I'm going to try to get more info.

Any ideas on how old the lock is?? The top broke off as I took it out of the ground.

The other item has the letters KNE but the rest of the right side of the word is broken off. The letters are silvery material that flakes off.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

Smile Neat artifacts!

Neat artifact finds.
To check patent numbers go to this site
Patent Full-Text and Full-Page Image Databases
That is a govt site with all the info on patents - you can look up by number.
Happy hunting! Hope they let you back in for some dirt fishing soon - maybe your lunch break?
