More easement
Hit downtown again today for a few hours... ended up with $8.94, with 348 coins (284 pennies, 30 dimes, 22 nickels, and 12 quarters...)
also picked up a tiny little silver enamel pin that says "Emergency First Aid"... oh, and I also dug up something that I really wish I wouldn't have - a big, black, ugly, nasty SPIDER...  man, I screamed like a little girl when those legs started wiggling up out of the ground...uuggghhhhhh.... gave me the willies then, and they're givin' em to me now... I HATE SPIDERS....

I don't really dig - mainly I just use a screwdriver and probe them and pop them out... most of them are either just under the dirt, or on top of the ground... some of them may be at the most an inch or so down...
but, it is a lot of bending over and being on my hands and knees...

Sounds like a great hunt, digging or popping them out, it's still a great haul.
BTW, it's starting to get hard to tell where the drawing ends and the photo begins, excellent work  .

Another great hunt!
Those easements are really great. Pity I can't find many around here. I may risk the few I have found. I didn't realize they would be 1 inch maximum depth. There are some short strips in Laguna Beach, but the grass is a kind that is cut VERY short. Maybe I can do a quicky hunt when I park the car. That is a very high coin count. WTG.
