Default Painted nickle!

Looks like just that to me a nickle someone painted with what looks like might be finger nail polish but hard to tell from just a picture!

Congrats on the silver and wheat Creek! Those are good anytime.

The nickle is very unique. I know I do not know about the paint, Beale.

Nice to hear you got out for a hunt Creek ! I'm going nuts myself,I had an interview the other day and spent the whole time talking about treasure hunting ! The nickel is pretty cool ! I'm thinking another version of a "hobo nickel" whoever painted it did a pretty good job.I'm wondering if it hasnt been enameled rather than painted though.

Nice...I'd keep the nickel the way it is. Just finding something different or unique makes for more of a conversation piece and makes the hunt special.

Smile Neat finds!

Congratulations on finding silver.
The nickel raises a flag for me. I seem to remember sometime in the past that some Indian head nickels were offered for sale that were enameled. I've been scratching my head trying to remember when it was. Seems like in the last 20 years. They did not have the hole drilled in them, though. Maybe one of the other TQers can remember. I think it was offered to me as part of a promotion that came with my credit card bill.
I wouldn't buy one, but would love to find one! Much more value in that!
Thanks for the pics and post. Always nice to hear of silver!
Happy hunting:grinningelf:
