Suposedly the founder of my hometown had his cabin close by,but the local historian tells me it was on the other side of town and I havent realy found any evidence that it was near the field I've been searching. There are several old houses (early 1800's)nearby and I've found evidence that there were kids playing in the area like old toys etc.

Rip glad to hear you are getting some warmer weather...at first glance...the date looked like 1812...without knowing my coins...forgive me!!! learning as I dig them... lol!!!!!

Rip...if I am going to dig one of those...you are going to have to come down here and do some planting!!!

Hope you have a Happy New Year and a 08 full of those sweet finds!!!

Thanks y'all ! I would love to come down and do some planting Pat ! This living in the tundra is getting OLD ! I headed out this morning to my buddys to search his yard. The weather was nice about 40 degrees but a little cloudy.I got there and had a cup of coffee with my friends, then i whent out to cheak it out and it was snowing so hard you could hardly see ! So i said heak with it and played fetch the pinecone with my buddy Sophira, then came home to pig out on cookies !
PS...Forgot to mention,I have been trying to get a better view of the date.It does look like 1812 but cant be The last number is looking like mabey a 3.Still working at it !
