Smile Ace pinpoint

Bill,
With the standard coil the pinpoint location is in the little "c" shaped feature in front of the mounting bracket approximately where shown on the attached file.
Also, there are two ways to pinpoint.
1. Lift the coil to one side or another away from the ground, press pinpoint and sweep forming a cross over the target.
2. Place coil over target and then press pinpoint - you get a very much lower volume indication.
Hopefully this helps.
Good results with the initial hunt.
Happy hunting

wtg Bill! You'll learn that Ace 250 yet. Good advice John, I'll have to check mine for pinpointing also, been digging two many rows of dirt to recover the target.

I am embarrassed to say I didn't know that John.... I was wondering the other day why the volume of the tone was low... Thought it was batteries!!
Thanks and maybe if I read the instructions I would have known that!!

Happy Hunting Folks!!

Sadly that's not really covered in the DVD or Manual. Just a little extra that Garrett wanted everyone to figure out on our own, I suppose.
