Default Found a Fork!! Need ID Help On This One Too

Went back to searching my same area this evening. My first night hunt in a long time. The weather is great though. Upper 60's so was out in a T-shirt with my head lamp on. Got a couple wheats.(1918, 1944S) Also got this fork and was wondering if anyone could tell me about it. The U.S. stamped on the handle has my curiosity peaked. Thanks in advance for any help.

It is a cool find. I have not done night hunting. Being in the city limits my areas.

I agree with the rest Military, congrats, Beale.
