Default What A Way To Start The Year: Another First!! (Pic Added)

I tried to get out this morning for a hunt in the same field I have been hunting. There is an apple tree in the middle of the field I have not worked around real good. Started that direction and dug a piece of old pocket knife. Before I could get the 20 yards to the tree a light rain started. I had no cover for my control box so knew I had to get back to the house. Decided to take a few more swings in a circle pattern around the tree. About a quarter way around I got a nickel/pull tab signal and started to dig. Out popped a round disk. I was very happy thinking I had finally found another faded out buffalo. Put it away and headed for the house before too much rain came. Got home, rinsed it, and then a quick hot peroxide bath, and another rinse and I have my first Liberty V-Nickel. It is an 1892 under magnification and the right light. It is also only the second 1800's coin I have found in 2 and 1/2 years of detecting. This is starting out as a great year.

Nice find! I have only 1 coin from the 1800's. 1883 IH, and I find it in my back yard waiting impatiently for my hubby. Sounds like a good day, Congrats and HH!!
