Default Dug A Bottle Dump Today And Got 2 Suprise Firsts.

Well still no Md'ing yet but I did get out to dig a bottle dump. Unfortunitly time took its tole on the place and there where thousands of destroyed bottles. But at about the 3 foot spot I got a few survivors. Got a Small Medicine clear bottle, A Catskill Bottling Company Catskill, NY bottle (Wich is cool because Catskill is only 15 minutes from me, And the The Blue Medicine Bottle. This is the first intact blue cork top style old bottle I have found ever. Seen thousands but they are always dead. It says Bromo-Seltzer Emerson Drug Co. Baltimore, MD and it is 4 inches tall. So when I get home I start washing them and I get my second surpise the Catskill Bottling one has a clay marble inside. The first one of those I have ever found as well...It was a great day with my dad..

Good find on the bottles. I had gotten some a few years back..Had some ink wells and some medicine bottles. The blue I think is the best out of all. The marble is a good surprise too..Congrats...Buster....

Question

Hi, I Simply Love It.... Great Finds.... I Have Some Of The Bromos I Love The Blue Bottles Of Any Age....The Cod Bottles Are Way To Cool Also. Any Day You Can Go And Dig A Bottle Dump Of That Age (20's 30's my guess) Is Great. I Love To Detect Or Bottle Dig. If I Get Bored With One I Do The Other......Thanks

Congrats on the bottles! That cobalt blue Bromo is a sweet bottle! I really like the marble, Beale.

Really nice bottles...I've never hunted or dug bottles before - but I'm going to start keeping my eyes open for them in the future...another great way to experience history!
