Default My Nicest IH So Far!

I got out for a couple of very short hunts just before dark last week and dug my nicest IH to date ... a 1905 in nice condition. I dug this from a site where an old farm house once stood and what is now a bean stubble field. The soil in this field is very sandy and drains well which probably contributed to the good condition of the coin. I also found a hem weight, a cylinder for an old cap gun, an aluminum ornamental cap with a ship on it, an old lady's compact lid, a wheatie, 4 memorial cents, and several other whatzits ... Thanks for looking ~ Jimmy!

Nice IH Jimmy Echostar61 (Terri) gave me a tip about cleaning them. Heat-up some peroxide (3% drugstore type) in a coffee mug in the microwave, remove it & place the IH in it to soak for several minutes. I cleaned my 1st (and only) IH this way, and it removed 100% of the crud as well as the "green" around the edge of the coin.

Congrats on a nice find!
