Default Another Hunt: No Old Coins But An Old Ring

I got the chance to hunt the same area I've been hunting for a little while today. Pulled mostly trash but my last signal for the day was this ring. It appears to be military. It has an eagle on each side atop a shield with a banner underneath and some stars. Appears to have been lettering on the banner but I am unable to make out what it may have said. Also looks like it probably had a stone attached previously. Marking on the inside of the band says " GOLD SHELL " Any info is appreciated. Happy Hunting All!!!
