Default First day out with the MXT

Hit a few local parks. Ran in Coin/jewerly mode for the most part teying to learn the machine. Pulled this stuff out of the ground, along with a TON of poptops and tabs, and beer bottle caps. For a minute, I thought I had found a large penny, but it turned out to be the rusty looking nickel in the picture. I don't think the parks are all that old, so probably won't find any old stuff in them, just clad.

The good thing is that I'm slowly learning how the machine works, and what things sound like. The MXT makes alot of noise, so there is allot to learn in reguards to audio.

I have a line on a property that had an 1800 school on it. It's for sale, and I have a call into the realtor that has it listed, who I know. Hopefully I'll get access. I really want to find some vintage coins!

Frank

Oh, the bent quarter was driven over with a D-9 dozer. I found it in the fresh dozer tracks where they were working!

You're off to a great start Frank, that one penny towards the middle looks like it could be a steel cent?

Funny you should say that. Most of the nickel hits I got were pull tabs. I did get a few nickels though. I did notice that a good hard quarter hit was ALWAYS a quarter.
