Default Find before the rain

Went to an old church today for a few minutes. Before it started raining I pulled this button out of the ground from around a tree about 4in. The church was founded in the late 1800's. Anybody with an idea on the id? Thanks for any help.HH guys Im off work tomorrow so if the weather's good I will be out an about. Got a good tip on an old school house down the road from me, and got permission today to hunt it so pray for no rain

Default Neat button

I like buttons - they are some of my favorite finds.
I tried some image enhancement on your pictures, but still can't figure out the design. It looks neat though.
Great find. Hope someone recognizes it.
Happy hunting
