It probably is. There are no markings on it, but seems heavy for its size.

Thanks Buster. Going out tomorrow to see if we can find an old camp where the flume tenders stayed, hit a camp ground and look for a spot that was supposed to be a stage stop many moons ago. All should be within a 5-7 mile radius. We'll see...

Got a 6x9 DD coil coming today. Our ground has high mineralization and I'm hoping that the new loop will help with that. I plan on also getting the 4x6 DD loop for the trashy places, which we have lots of.

Thats a very Good Start Frank. Like the Heart, I'm kinda Partial to Them . Try Other Places but don't give up on that spot cuz there is more there. Just keep goin over it as Ya try different settings and remember to overlap your swings. The more Ya get to know your detector the more stuff you'll be gettin. WTG !

Oh, I'm not giving up at all. That spot is less than two miles away from me. It will be the spot that I'll go to when I have an hour to kill. The main park in town produces many more coins, but in the back of my mind, I think this spot has more potential to find some good stuff.
