Default More finds this week

Was able to get out a little bit this week to do some mding, so I went to a new place that I got permission to hunt. The guy said that it was an old school house, but after hunting it I just dont know what it was. I didnt find any old coins or any coins at all. I don't know if I just didn't take enough time around the old place or what but all I found was what looks like to be a shoe buckle from a baby shoe or something so after about an hour I went back to the old house that I frequent to see if I could find some silver. No luck on the silver but I did find 2 wheat pennys and one regular penny. The dates are 1941, and 1944. I did find another makeup case with writing on it. It was a Gladys Glad makeup product made in the 20's in NY on 5th AVE. While digging I did find the top of a royal crystal bottle or flask so that was cool. All in all it was a pretty good day but I will head back over to the old school and try it again. Better luck next time heh. Seth

Sounds like a great spot according to the dates on the items you found. The silver is waiting for you to recover it

Hey Seth congrats on the hunt! That school ground sounds interesting. Maybe try all metal and see what happens? Good luck with it, Beale.

Those are some good finds. Sometimes those school sites can be a little confusing. I am currently working one that was a school from the 1860s all the way through the 1940s and then it was turned into a country store. It burned down about 30 years ago and is just a spot in a field now. I haven't found any coins or anything interesting yet, but only time and hard work will tell if there is anything good there. Keep up the good work! Take care and HH!
