Default 2nd outing.....little bit o' silver again.

Not really anything to write home about....but I'm doin' it anyway

Went to the little league field today and managed a 1964-D nickel, a 1983 nickel, a 1961 penny....and a 1960 silver roosevelt dime. That's 2 outings for me this year, and 2 times I got to come home and stick one in the pouch.

Better days ahead.....I just need some new real estate.

I have had moments when I thought just that....I have some kind of instinct for finding silver. Of course living in an area that's old helps.

I got permission a couple years ago to hunt the lawn at my dentist's office. It's in a home that was built in the 50s. I got out of the car...switched on the detector....took about 4 steps, and got a nice high reading. My dentist was standing right beside me as I unearthed a 1944 quarter.

Then there was a yard or 2 here in town that really seemed to beckon me. One was an older home...ca 1900, and I ended up with 2 silver quarters in one hole in the front yard....and a 41 walker from the back yard....along with a few silver dimes. The second place was built in the mid 50s....and that yard also coughed up a walker....a 42, and one hole that had 2 mercs, a silver rosie, and 3 wheats.
There are more yards here that I want to do....so I'll be asking strangers for permission to hunt this year. That doesn't bother me though. Most of the locals have seen me down at the little park....and it's easy to see that I haven't destroyed that place, despite digging hundreds of holes there in the past few years....so unless they're just afraid you'll retire on the riches from their property....they normally don't mind.

Nice finds Wyatt. Sounds like you live in a prime spot for old silver.
