Default My first Gold and my hunt with Greenwenvy

Okay, so Michael and I went to Huntington Beach to the State Beach on Sunday. It was a beautiful day, but quite windy. We unloaded all of our crap and headed down to the water with some towels and a couple of drinks. I was just about to the area where the towels had been laid down (I was hunting my way there) and had found a couple of pennies already, when I looked down and saw what looked like a little key ring. I swung the coil over it just for giggles and then picked it up. It was a ring! It's thin and small, fits my pinky and I thought it was silver. I put it into my pocket and showed Michael a bit later, which is when he noticed that it said 10K!!! I had found my first piece of gold

I only found 2 quarters a dime and 3 pennies other than the ring and a TON of trash, but what a great day. There was that little incedent with the rotton dead seal by the water, but I wasn't in the stink zone like Michael. I thought he was going to fall over! I'll let him tell his side of the story.

Pris;

Good find. I use to be stationed at MCAS Miramar, in San Diego. Been to huntington beach a few times nice area, way too expensive for me. Had a graet time while I was stationed there (ret 2004; wish I had been into md'ing while there) Enjoy the beach and the soon to be great weather...
