Default New Area....Few Hours

Spent a few hours in an open field today to try something different. I carried out more smashed beer cans in 3 hours than any other full day I've worked!....What's the matter with people?

The largest item, I believe to be an automatic splicing sleeve for splicing copper conductors. It says "FARGO 6SOL CAT # US-6 PAT PEND 2Z". How it got in the middle of a field............(?)

Also found some old bullets. I'm great at identifying them when I see the casings...haha...Maybe you all can help me out on IDing these.

Cool bullet finds Hawk!

The best that I can do to id them is that the person that fired them was a poor shot, doesn't look like they hit anything .

If you have a micrometer, you could find out the caliber.

Smile Good hunt!

Looks like a good hunt. You got a lot of cans out of the environment and you have some interesting finds. Much better cans than broken bottles! It's really tough to bag and carry broken glass.
All in all, the Right Stuff!
Happy hunting

Could have just been a gathering place where folks got together and tipped a few cold ones on a Friday or Saturday night...I've seen country parties last an entire weekend in a field out in the middle of nowhere! If that's the case - it's worth hunting the area again for the goodies...good luck!

Good Finds.....Could the can have been target practice...the projectile on the right looks like a 38 wad cutter and the one on the left appears to be a 45 or 50 cal black powder is my guess....Don't take that to the bank though....
