Default Ton of fun but few finds

From the land of the Bluenose.....0415 hours and I was up playing scrabble on line and getting ready for the day.........off! Just can't seem to shut off that internal alarm clock.

Took Marie out for breakfast and like the bouy I am let her pay. Roll up the rim didn't produce any winners but when I got home and checked my Lotto 649 I was a $20 winner.....yes!

Took Otto out for a meal and he really got "gassed up" taking all my winnings plus another $25. Bouy is a liquid pig bigtime. Still miss Goquickski and the ease of his canter!

Sun was up and so I headed down the Beaverbank Road and hit Fred's field. Along the way this darn thing decided to play chicken with me forcing me to come to a screeching halt then ran into a field. Next time I see that thing I hope it will be in a stew with it's feathers used for some fly tieing. (look hard at the curb white line)

Of course Marie knew where I was going today and packed a lunch....not for me but for these bouys!

A face only a mother could love!

After feeding me Buds and going hungary myself I started to swing away and swing away and swing some more. Finds were few and far between but I was happy just to be out getting my "arm" in shape for the onslaught of swinging that awaits me in a few days on my vacation.

Tired but with few finds I pointed east and headed home with a stop along the way to pick up some mussles and a lobster for the "boss" and a to invite a few Buds over for the evening. Had gotten the call to go into work but actually refuse some overtime...a first for this bouy!

Take for the day was 6 coins with a few Yankee ones throw in @.39 cents, a key, musketball and a dewy that came apart. Man that target was a deep one!

I'll share a secert now......mussles a la Bluenose.
4 pounds of PEI Blues
one pint of Bud
2 large onions chopped somewhat
4 cloves of garlic finely sliced
3 cups of water

Add everything in a large pot and bring to a boil. Then chuck in the mussels for about 6 minutes till opened.

For dipping have 4 litle glass cups filled with:
1. real melted butter
2. vinegar
3. seafood sauce
4. balsamic vinegar

Rotate dipping for best flavours.......enjoy!
