Hi tennessee
Nice find, If you do not intend to get rid of the nickel, there are a couple of methods that can be used to clean a little of the matrix off it, a little vinegar and baking soda will loosen alot of it, dont leave the coin in the mix for long at a time and a gentle scrub with a soft tooth brush in between ,or the longer safer method would be to soak the coin for several weeks in olive oil, with a couple of oil changes in between will do ok also, The nickel in G-4 grade retails at about 6.50 but steps up rapidly with better grades. cleaned you can take off two grades on the market value. again Nice find
