Default good nicks and a tank

Hit a new spot today for about 45 minutes. Research paid and hopefully I'll be hitting this spot hard tomorrow. In a short time got this cool little tank, a 1943 war nickel, a 36 buff, and two wheats (29 and 44), a USMC button, plus some various clad. I just know there's some real silver there and silver is tough to find here in SoCal.

I'm gonna post the tank in Pappy's forum but anyone have any ideas? I love the way it looks. Thanks!

That's funny that you would find a tank and a war nickel on the same hunt! I think it might be an old toy, probably an antique now. Looks WWII vintage. Good hunt!

Pappy can probably help you out.

Thanks all. My experience tell me, "where there's nickels there's lots of dimes." For me it's usually about 10:1. Crossing my fingers tonight and plan to grid the area hard tomorrow. My kiddo going to bring his BH jr. The littlest one is going to play on the nearby playground. My 5 year old wants that tank so badly, and I give 90% of my "treasure" to him anyways. But, not this time.

Great digs King Bee! I really like the tank. That is very cool. The war nickle and Buffalo are sweet also. I am thinking you have a nice spot to hunt for sure. Continued good luck with it, beale.

Hey all, got back to the spot this morning. A few more wheats, lots of clad, plus a junker ring. I pulled more old school beavertails than I ever have before, like three pouches full, with other small garbage. No silver yet, but I only cleaned out a small area. I know it's there! Unfortunately, I'm going out on a cruise for a few months, so I won't get back there until mid-summer. At least the clad should be replenished, and I'm almost positive no one will be MD'ing there.
