Default 1798 large cent

First trip out with DFX-300 (that does not include the hours in my yard trying to figure this thing out!!) Went to a farm I have hunted before with my Sharp Shooter II. Today found some clad (1.52) a '42 wheat and 1798 large cent. What a difference an upgrade makes. If any one has any advice on settings or anything I would love to hear it!!

Congrats!! That large cent is a very good find! I would have for sure done the happy dance!

As to settings on your DFX I would say to get the book. I think it is called "digging deeper with the DFX". I can also give you a link to a good "clasroom" for DFX.

http://www.findmall.com/list.php?28

The link takes you to a site just for DFX help. Good luck with it, Beale.

Had good solid hit on 2002 quarter at 9 inches (how it got that deep ???)from the settings out of the box. Pinpointing, depth and target ID were right on. We will see how deep it goes.
