Default My Sons MDing Day

My son, Logan , has been wanting to go detecting for a few days now, even though the 'conditions' of the ground is not ready for him yet, I took him.......only an hour and half and it was all I could take.
For some of you newbies, Logan is in a wheelchair, he is as big as me and a heck of alot heavier......if the ground is too soft he will sink and its extremely hard to push him around so he can detect. I took him to the city park, he found mostly trash, but finally made an unreadable memorial penny. Then he got another penny hit, I dug for him and out pops a very green penny....I knew it had to be old cause it was covered in that green stuff. Brought it home and soaked it in hot peroxide, didn't help much, I could finally make out Lincoln on the front but still no date. Then I deceided to use a spoon and scrap off the green stuff....normally I would not do this but I can tell it was very worn and didn't think it would be worth much, finally I could see that it was a wheatie, and then a date appeared 1911 or 191?.....I told him what he found and he's excited! I did not take any pics because its in such bad shape, didn't think it would do any good.
Logan used his dad's ace 250 , he would not touch my pink ace LOL And he used the sniper coil.
Thanks All
