Default F75 Todays Finds & Fun I Had

Haven't been able to hunt for quite a few days as we have been having quite a bit of rain, just had another 3" in the past 24 hours. But got out this afternoon for about 3 hours to a elem school a mile down the road from my house, which I must be the only person that detects there as I can just roam around & dig up all the modern change I want didn't find anything older than early 1970s, got $2.45 worth today. This is a great place to practice with a new detector as you don't have far to go to find coins. So I learned a few new things today about my new F75, for sure switch tone to 3 & you will get a very easily identifiable tone when you get a coin hit. Also when you get what you think is a good solid coin hit say 65/70 or above turn 90 degrees to it & scan it again, if it's a coin you should have a repeatable number similar to the first one, if not, then it's probably not a coin. Also keep pulling back multiple times on the trigger when pin pointing until you get it down to a very small spot so you have less digging. One thing I haven't figure out was that a large part of the time the depth was way off. It would say 6" or deeper & a lot of times the coin was only down 2 to 3 inches. It got so that sometimes I would pinpoint with the coil & then switch on my Sunray pinpointer & scan the ground which I could actually pick up the coin again quite a few times, so I knew I didn't have to dig that deep. But it was fun practicing, but I got to a point where I was going O great another penny. Some memorable moments I dug one quarter up out of the wood chips under the swings that was down 10" & yes I carry a tape measure with me. Also another fun one was on one hole flipped over the plug & got a quarter, dime & penny in the same hole one right on top of another, & not 6 inchs away from that hole got another penny. Another favorite thing I do when I do dig a coin, is I then scan a good 5 foot circle around that spot looking for his friends before I move on. Then it was getting towards dusk & as I'm walking back to the car walking & swinging quite fast just to kill time as I walked I kept getting coin hits, I was like dang I should just shut it off so I can leave, but no I just kept digging coins all the way back & the funny thing was I was still digging coins not 10" feet from where I was parked on the blacktop parking lot. Finally had to shut it off & leave. But now I know when I can't get out to my other sites where the old stuff is, I can always hit the school & just practice my tech.

Those are the best places to learn your machine real quick, nice job on finding clad, and keep hitting that place you just never know what you could pull out of the ground. Good Luck

Great hunt and training session..wait till you use 4H tone I normally use 3 or 3H tones myself unless relic hunting then switch to 1 or 2F tone..I find the F75 coil likes to be up 2" for a better pinpoint depth some will claim in all metal you can get great depth with coil 5" off the ground..If you notice you can acually take and pull the pinpoint trigger and draw a line around the target with success...pretty impressive fun machine..I still need to hit some schools ..sounds like a good place..
